Who's still behind you?

Ten minutes past the turnoff the phone gives up — no signal, no data, no way to know whether the tail-end truck took the wrong track. Keep scrolling.

Getting the group together

Add your mates with a four-digit code.

One truck starts the convoy and reads out a short code; everyone else taps it in once. From there the group is closed — each convoy carries its own key, so only the trucks you let in can read what's on the air.

On the move

The whole group on one map.

Everyone who joined shows up as you drive — who's leading, who's dropped back. Send the group a message without picking anything up, or drop a waypoint the others can steer to.

Self-healing mesh

The trucks are the network.

Lead can't reach the tail-end truck, so the one in the middle passes the message on — and only because nobody answered. Every rig relays, the mesh closes over any gap on its own, and it runs on the open 915 MHz band: no licence to hold, nothing to register.

Fitting it

On the dash, wired to the truck, done.

Twelve or twenty-four volts straight off the vehicle, or a USB-C power bank when you're out of it. The antenna is in the box; the roof kit is there for the days you want more reach.

Prices in AUD. The three-pack is a limited launch price. TrailCrew operates on the 915–928 MHz band under the ACMA class licence for low-interference devices, so no individual operator licence is required. It is a communication device for recreational touring — not a safety or emergency product, and it does not replace a satellite beacon.
